We recommend betting with William Hill on Horse Racing this Saturday. If you’re looking for a new bookmaker, Bet for Free has a special offer for you when you join and deposit over $50.

1. Hartnell (8)

T: James Cummings J: K Mc Evoy (59kg)

Hartnell comes into the Makybe Diva Stakes as the favourite and he’ll be hard to beat. He won the Lawrence Stakes last start at Caulfield by over 2 lengths and he’s coming off a month break. His last race at Flemington was in the 2016 Melbourne Cup as he finished third. At the distance, he’s won 3 from 8 and finished in the placings in 5 of 8.

2. Black Heart Bart (7)

T: D K Weir J: B Rawiller (59kg)

Black Heart Bart will be looking to chase down Hartnell once again after he finished 3 lengths behind in the Lawrence Stakes. He finished well in the Memsie Stakes last start against Vega Magic. At the track, he’s finished second in both starts so he’s a solid bet for the quinella or trifecta.

3. Le Romain (5)

T: K A Lees J: B Melham (59kg)

Le Romain didn’t look great in the Memsie Stakes with a 5th finish but he’ll be hoping for better run third up. He likes the distance with 2 wins from 4 starts.

6. Humidor (10)

T: D K Weir J: Damian Lane (59kg)

Humidor will need to find some form this week after two average performances. After a long spell, he has finished 6th and 8th at Caulfield. Althought, ee does have a good record at the distance with 2 wins and a second from 4 starts.

9. Hey Doc (12)

T: Tony Mcevoy J: L Currie (58.5kg)

Hey Doc is one to watch for the trifecta. He won the Aurie’s Star at Flemington in early August. He has won 3 of 5 races at Flemington in his career as well. Include in the trifecta.

This is Hartnell’s race to loose and we can’t see it happening. We would include Black Heart Bart and Hey Doc in the trifecta.

Winner: Hartnell ($1.75)
Trifecta: 1,2,9
Best Roughie: Hey Doc ($13)

George Main Stakes, Randwick Tips 1600m

Winx returns for the George Main Stakes at Randwick and we’ll see if anyone can challenge her.

7. Winx (1)

T: C J Waller J: J Bowman (57kg)

Winx has been an unbackable favourite lately but she has looked below her best in the last two races. She has made two straight comebacks down the straight, including a missed start at the Warwick Stakes. But she’s a quality runner and she’ll be hard to beat again. Her track record is 12 wins from 16 starts. At the distance, she has won 7 of 8 and the loss was a second placing. She’ll be nearing full fitness after two starts from a spell so this should be another win.

1. Happy Clapper (8)

T: Patrick Webster J: B Shinn (59kg)

Happy Clapper is next in the betting and he’s in good form. After a spell, he won at Randwick last start. In second up races, he has a 50% win record from 6 starts. He has a good track and distance so he could challenge Winx down the straight. Include in the Quinella.

9. Foxplay (3)

T: C J Waller J: B Avdulla (56.5kg)

Foxplay was run down by Winx (0.20 lengths) in the Warwick Stakes so she was very unlucky. She has won 2 of 4 races second up and she’ll take confidence from her last effort against Winx.

3. Red Excitement (4)

T: G A Ryan J: J Parr (59kg)

Red Excitement came second to Winx at the Chelmsford and he’ll look for an upset. He has a decent track/distance record with an 80% place rate at the distance.

The last two races with Winx involved have been epic so hopefully we’ll see another close finish. But Winx is unbackable here and we’re predicting another win for her on Saturday. Foxplay and Happy Clapper will most likely battle for second spot.

Winner: Winx ($1.08)
Trifecta: 1,7,9
Best Roughie: Foxplay ($13)
