2015 A-League Season Betting Tips
The A-League kicks off in just a few weeks time and it promises to be one of the closest in the competitions short history. Fans all over the country will be hoping the entertainment factor that turned last season in to a goal fest and took the race for the minor Premiership down to the final couple of weeks with Sydney FC seemingly hot on the Heels of Melbourne Victory hangs around. But when you take in to account that Kevin Muscat’s men finished with the best attack and defensive record in the comp before backing it up with two 3-0 wins in the final series to clinch the double you can see there was really only ever one team in it.
The big question is, can the blues back it up this time around?

As I said earlier Muscy’s men finished last season with the best attack and defence in the competition. Although they did still have an inexplicable habit of blowing seemingly unassailable leads and should have had the minor Premiership sewn up well before they did. The loss of Captain, Mark Milligan, is not going to help with sorting out that particular problem but the club have recognised a weakness of sorts by outing shot stopper Lawrence Thomas and bringing in Danny Vukovic from Perth Glory. Youngster Thomas Deng has been promoted from the youth squad to add more depth to the back line while the signing of Socceroo Oliver Bozanic could prove to be a quality pick up. But it’s the front three of Kosta Barbarouses, Besart Berisha and Ben Khalfallah that sets this team apart. If those three are firing then no-one can stop the Melbourne Victory.
The reds have promised so much for the last couple of seasons without really delivering. They did pick up their first piece of silverware for sometime with the inaugural FFA Cup but in the league it has been a case of style over substance. They do have quality in their ranks though that will be bolstered by the out and out goal threat of Eli Babalj. There is a new coach at the helm in the shape of Barcelona legend Guillermo Amor who will be looking to build on the foundations laid by outgoing coach Josep Guardiola. For me Adelaide are easily Melbourne’s biggest rivals for A-League glory this season and well worth your free bet from Luxbet.
Sydney FC finished a close 2nd to Melbourne in the race for last years minor premiership thanks in no small part to the goals of Marc Janko. But the big Swiss forward has headed back to Europe for this season along with other big Sydney FC stars Bernie Ibini, Terry Antonis and Nikola Petkovic. Sydney boss Graham Arnold has been busy trying to fill those gaps with the likes of Brendon O’Neil, Matt Simon and Alex Mullen but even with his vast experience it will be difficult for this newly formed Sydney FC team to mount any sore of a challenge.
